Juliet, Oh, Juliet Where Art Thou?

I’ve been so busy I realized I never mentioned to you all that my little assistant, Juliet, went home Labor Day weekend.  My father-in-law’s rehabilitation has been coming along well, so him and my MIL decided they were ready to take Ju-Ju {as she prefers to be referred to} back under their wing. We had that little nugget with us for three months and within that time she managed to tear apart every dog bed and toy that we have ever owned, chewed through my computer wire, gnawed away on some floor board, ate a pair of new black heels, and then had 3 pairs of flip flops for dessert. I loved that little monster.  A part of me actually hoped my in-laws never made the drive out here to pick her up.  “BUT WE CAN’T HAVE THREE DOGS!” This was our mantra around here whenever we noticed one of us growing attached to her.  It’s hard enough to find sitters for our dogs when we want to take vacations {we don’t board them mostly due to our younger pup’s extreme allergic reaction to vaccines…extreme as an a vet once hopelessly looked at us during our third trip to the animal hospital one snowy night and said “I’ve never seen such a reaction, I don’t know what more I can do!” This was after they had drugged her multiple times with steroids and Benadryl.} So away Ju-Ju went…back to her real home.  It’s not like we’ll never see her again; the in-laws live only a little over an hour away.  I’m just an idiot who believes dogs have human feelings and I was afraid she’d be confused and think we didn’t want her.  I mean seriously people these are important things to worry about! World poverty…..Juliet’s feelings.  World poverty…..Juliet’s feelings.  This is why it would be horrible if every stranded dog out there in the world knew my address. I have a bleeding heart for dogs and quite honestly there are some days I like dogs better than I like people.  Okay, make that most days.  As far as how Miss Juliet is doing adjusting to her return home......she hasn't skipped a beat.  We heard the minute she got home she tore right into her toy box.  She's probably demolishing some poor toy's soul as we speak.  That's our Ju-Ju!

{Ju-Ju figured out how to knock down plants in the garden. I came out one hot day to find her chowing away on snap peas.  Hey, a girls gotta watch her weight!}
