Valentine Centerpiece using Branches

 Remember that time I dragged a small tree down the street all in the name of fall decorating?  Trust me, the FedEx man remembers. I'm pretty sure that's why he never hangs around after dropping off boxes on my porch. He just rings the door bell & runs. It's like he'll do anything to get away from the crazy tree girl. Any who, I'm happy to say my little centerpiece of branches has become quite versatile through the different seasons & holidaysA matter of fact now it's a sweetheart tree.

I'm Baacckkk & Oh By The Way I Made A Holiday Centerpiece from Old Wall Art

Hello, hello! I hope you all had a wonderful turkey day. I’m back from vacay {sniff, sniff} but I want to thank all the lovely ladies who held down the fort while I was gone. If you missed any of their wonderfulness they had to share make sure to check out all of the previous week’s post!
My husband and I had a fantastic time cruising down to Central America and I’ll be sharing some of our adventures with y’all soon {mainly just so I can relive it and deny that it’s back to reality…ugh…pour me a glass of wine…you know what just give me the whole bottle…..} but in the mean time have you noticed it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas? I pulled all of our decorations out this past weekend and as usual I am already looking around the house talking to myself thinking “Hmm…this wall really could use a holiday calendar.” or “Gee, sure wish I had some Christmas pillows for that bench.” or “My golly, Miss Molly, that table needs a festive centerpiece!” Okay, so I didn’t really yell at Miss Molly for the fact that my table was looking rather bare but I did think to myself that I wanted a festive centerpiece so I started brainstorming and this is what I came up with.......

Soooo, I had this wall art that we had used in our first apartment and well, it isn’t really my style anymore and it has just been kind of hanging out down in the basement. I was planning on evicting it soon or at least start charging it rent but thankfully I had another idea for it.
I found some mirror sheets at Jo-annes. Honestly, I never knew mirrored sheets of paper existed but my friends I am here to tell you that they do! And thank goodness I found them because my original idea was to cover the whole top of the art with small pieces of mosaic glass but let’s face it that is calling for far more concentration than my brain will permit these days. So I adhered the mirror sheets to the top of the glass frame with some hot glue and then I added three glass candle holders with candles, some pine cones, & ornament garland all courtesy of the Dollar Store.
Yay! No more nekked table. {PS. Don't mind that blob of outlets hanging around on the floor!}

So, have you finished all your holiday decorating yet?
